Very Sad News
"Ton," who you know from this blog and who contributed endlessly to our project has died. We are profoundly sad. We wish his family every comfort and blessing.

Sad news indeed May the Lord give him rest until the Day of the Ressurection
How is possible? I can't believe it. He wrote an article last week. He was driving a bike tour. I remember his photos of a ruined church with the colored beautiful flowers in the middle. Maybe it was his attachment to life. Was he sick? An accident? I am sad. Dear Ton.
It is surprising how shocked and sad one can feel about a person whom one hasn't ever met personally. I had bump into Tom for years at different blogs and via email and I feel this as a personal loss.

Roberto,
Not crompton from the other blog. Ton from the Netherlands.
Ton was an exceptional researcher and historian. My heartfelt sympathy to the family
