OK, I think I've got it, after consulting with several translation sources. I was able to use my high school German for the first sentence, but needed to consult several online sources for the second - PROMT and PONS-LINGENIO were most helpful.

"A leaflet (Food for Thinking Christians No. 72) of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society in Elberfeld, told of a clergyman who declared a member of his congregation insane because he wanted to leave the church. However, with something like that one must mention names, dear Watchtower Bible and Tract Society."

I hope this is useful. "Kanonikus" is apparently the author, a church canon.

This appears to be a letter to the editor, complaining about a tract published by the Watch Tower Society. The complaint is that the tract included a story about a clergyman who called a member of his congregation insane because he left the congregation to join Watch Tower believers. The letter insists that the clergyman should be identified by name rather than left anonymous.
