A Question from a Blog Reader. Can you help?

There are two photos of the bible students in front of Jerusalem one from the watchtower Sept 1, 1910, and one more. The difference is the brother at the back has his hat on in one and  not in the other. Is there any where I can find out who is in the photos, i.e. the sisters and of course the man in the hat? Many have said the child is Rutherford's son

Thank you for your time  agape R. L.

Of course, I don't have the photos in front of me, but if it's the one that appeared on the back of in the WT years ago, with Rutherford kneeling on the ground in front of the group, the little boy in that one would be too young to be Malcolm, who was born in November 1892, which make him would be nearly 18 in 1910.

"Somewhere" a while back (I don't remember when) I asked a similar question, and I believe it was Jerome who supplied the name of the boy's parents. I hope he can answer this question for you.

If any want to see Malcom Rutherford's photograph and read his history, there have been several articles on this blog in the past. Just use the search term Malcom Rutherford, but note the correct spelling (from grave marker) of Malcom, even if he wasn't consistent himself through life in his spelling.

The 1910 Convention Report lists the names of those who were in the traveling party. Only one son is mentioned and that is the one who is identified (last name: Ward).

I've seen a photo of Malcolm in his role as secretary for Br. Russell in one of the later CRB's (1916 or earlier). He was definitely a grown man by them.
