Joseph Firth Smith (Oct 28, 1849 - Dec 7, 1924) worked for some time in his father's business, Henry Smith and Sons, Tailors. He is of interest to this blog, because he was one of the original directors of ZWT in 1884. He ceased to be a director in 1892. Check him out (with the full name and dates as above) on Find a Grave.
I read that the business was established in 1849 and that they were in Pittsburgh. Link with Russell's business?
