Yes, very well. When my mother and I first attended meetings this had not long come out. We had a professional musician in the congregation and had song practice after the midweek meeting on several occasions to learn some of the new songs added to the old red songbook. As with most persons of that vintage I can remember all the songs from the old songbook a lot better than I can some of the modern ones.
Remember the old words more clearly? Yes! As in when I was singing "Follow the greater Jephthah" when everyeone else was singing the modern words ...
Yes!!! I do remember my early 60’s in Brooklyn my Mom using this song book. The words Than come to mind are those recently used.

This takes me back to my childhood growing up in the congregation in the 1950's. These old songs have made a lasting impression deep within our mind and heart. Occasionally we still get to hear one of the old tunes in our latest song book. Happy memories.
