The post covers W E Van Amburgh’s trial
testimony from 1913 when he mentions the Russell music store and also the
background to the sheet music that has survived.
However, any readers of a musical
inclination might just want to try and play the piece. Or – on checking it out

do a close up on the title page you can see clearly the publisher to be J L
Russell and Son, Pittsburgh Music House, 85 Fifth Avenue. Contemporary news
reports show the performance date to be in 1872.
