What is the full name of G. A. Slote, an early Watch Tower colporteur. He is mentioned in the Watch Tower in 1886 and 1887.

I couldn't find his full name, but the only J A Slote in the area was a furniture dealer and undertaker in Phillipsburg, Kansas. He came from Scranton and around 1888 was relocating to Pittsburgh. There is a letter in the Scranton Tribune in 1894 from J A Slote insisting that Christians are not under the Jewish Sabbath.

Zion's Watch Tower and Kansas and Scranton papers give his name as G. A. Slote. Not J. A. Slote. There is a George A. Slote in the record, but I cannot connect the two.

There gives a George Albert Slote, born 1849, lived in Philadelphia. I am not sure he is the right one

Albert George Slote was born in 1847 in Spring Brook, very close to Scranton. In 1899 he met his sister Anna Maria in Phillipsburg, Kansas. She was married to James Knox Woods. Anna Maria James was born on February 16, 1857 in Spring Brook and died on March 28, 1946 in Seattle.
