We need biographical details, even minor ones, for Herbert Mitchell, resident of Newburgh, New York, in 1887. He may have been born about 1860, but we don't know. His wife seems to have been a seamstress. Any detail will help.
Mitchell was part of the small group (about 20) that met in Newburgh in the late 1880s. Help if you can!

The only likely candidate on Ancestry was born Herbert Mitchell in Yorkshire, UK. The family emigrated to the States around 1876. In 1880 he was living in Newburgh, Orange, NY. In 1880 his occupation was "boss - dyers" - in 1887 it was "finisher". He married Ann Spencer (1864-1931) in 1897. He was still alive aged 80 in Newburgh in the 1940 census. He had a number of brothers and sisters, but there is no record of children. And he is not on Find a Grave.
Possible correction - although Ancestry's "story page" gives date of death of Ann Spencer as 1931, the 1940 census has her still living, aged 75, with Herbert, aged 80.
