I checked out the original letter, it was from a Mrs Chas. Alkire, who wrote from Lyons, Ind. Using Ancestry, the only contender I have found from this location is Dulcenia Moatz Harrah (1870-1924) who married Charles B Alkire (1868-1958) in 1900. They had two children. Both are featured with grave markers on Find a Grave.
