Some photographs have come to hand from around 100 years ago that feature well-known Bible Students. The photographs are courtesy of the Robert Riley collection. The photo book is entitled Cedar Point on Lake Erie.
The earliest
photographs are from the 1919 convention at Cedar Point, Ohio. Many are of
unknown groups of people and general views of the venue. But the following are
those of named people many readers will know.

Although Hudgings did not stay with the IBSA he was imprisoned as part of the case against the book The Finished Mystery.
W M Wisdom and wife
Wisdom was later responsible for the book Memoirs of Pastor Russell.
The album also contains
some photographs from the 1922 convention at the same venue.

Thankyou so much Jerome for posting these photographs from the album. What a treasure that album is and I'm so appreciative it has been shared. Makes one wonder how much is still stored away in attics or in the lofts of outside sheds.

As for the discovery, I do not know the original background, but I belong to a closely vetted WhatsApp group of collectors, who share pictures of their treasures within the group. I saw this and obtained permission to re-post on the blog.

16 year old NH Knorr was at the 1922 Cedar Point convention.
That would be great if he could somehow be identified in those pictures.
Thank you Jerome for sharing this. So incredible to see these as of yet unpublished photos. On the last photo making note of JFR’s height, I believe my studies have yielded he was 6’2”. I did not note the reference however if someone knows of it.
The 6'2" height probably comes from several sources, but it is what JFR put on his passport application in 1910.
Proclaimers book mentions his height and weight on page 66: "J. F. Rutherford had a commanding appearance, standing six feet two inches [188 cm] tall and weighing about 225 pounds [102 kg]
"
I noted that some family trees at Ancestry.com link some kids to the marriage of C.T.Russell and Maria Francis Ackley (Mable, Lula, Mamie, Charles Deitzler). I assume those are mistakes since I remember that the divorce documents state that they were childless.
Charles and Maria never had sex. They had no children.
Ancestry is an excellent resource, but anybody can add material - which, as in this case, can be wildly inaccurate. There is also more than one C T Russell in history. So it is a starting point to go back to original sources, which Ancestry often supplies if the contributor has done their homework.
