I'll try to do what I can tomorrow, but I can guarantee it will be difficult. However, I can already make out some sentences, so maybe I can extract enough to render it useful.
Unless German Girl can get to it first; if so, I gladly defer to her vastly superior skills!

This is German with many mistakes and some phrases are unreadable. I`ll try to transcribe the German text:

The translation would be:
My beloved wife and childen!

Write on the parcel the adress and "wool socks present". All others receive letters and parcels but I did get anything scince the postcard dt. 31-08-1914 (or 1917). A(good) cigar and peppermint!Chocolate!You could put a bar in. My foot is healed up, I´m safe and sound. Hartlieb is also with the 2nd column. I also saw (female personal name unreadable)´s Segold (should be a male name, looks strange to me. Please be so kind and send it soon as it is already getting cold during night.
