I worked News Service/Public Relations from 1966 to 1972, including at International Conventions. Yes, this type of coverage was rare, though sometimes the larger papers would print a special edition for sale only at the convention. I especially remember an article by one of the Vancouver, B. C. papers entitled "Harry is a bum ... but". It was a profile of H. C. Good, then a District Servant. For all the things he was, some of them regrettable, he was a hard worker both secularly and as a Witness. He wasn't a bum; he was a disruptive element among American congregations.
