Dr Leslie Whitney Jones MD (15 November 1872 - 28 November 1946) is an interesting character. Beware - I may feel a blog article coming on...

Also compiler of the companion covenants book, the convention reports up to 1916, organiser for special convention trains, one of the directors of the Mena Film company with its doomed sequel to the Photodrama, then involved with convention reports for those who left the IBSA. Died in 1946 after being knocked down in the street by a bus.

Was Jones one of those who left the Society in 1917?Did he leave later?Ded he remain a russellite and joined one of those offshoot groups?

As a previous comment noted, Jones was involved in convention reports for those who separated from the IBSA. (This was from 1929). He did not leave immediately in 1917, he was involved in negotiations to do with the Mena Film Company and the Photodrama of Creation into early 1918. But in 1921 he wrote a letter to the St Paul (New Era) Enterprise stating he was not in harmony with the IBSA; however, in 1922 the same paper reported him attending an IBSA convention. But he ultimately fellowshipped with another group, and his funeral report was in their paper.
